The question of the first language and origin of language according to Ibn Hazm
One of the main subjects regarding the Islamic thought is language. Muslim scholars
have researched language with all its aspects since the early beginning of the Islamic
thought. The question of the origin of language was considered among the subjects to
be inquired. One of the muslim scholars who dealt with this subject was Ibn Hazm. In
this article, Ibn Hazm’s opinions on the origin of language and the first language problem will be examined.
