In this paper some introductory information is about to be given as regards Semantics
first, and then some Qur’anic terms such as rayb, shakk, yaqin will be analyzed. In
order to successfully analyze any terms or concepts, their etymological structure has
fundamental importance so as to connect it to its derivatives and not to disconnect any
relevant concept from the original source. Hence, here we tried to display how one
deals with a concept semantically without causing any confusion with others by
defining its meaning and reference framework.

Grekçe “sémantiké-sémantikos”dan gelen semantik kelimesi “anlam veren,
anlam belirten” demektir. “Semiologie” tabiri de “anlam bilimi”ne karşılık kullanılmaktadır.
